Power Coxswains Badge

A day of power boating covering the Power Coxswain proficiency badge

Weather permitting, the session will cover;

•         Boat/Engine checks and launching/recovery

•         Basic Manoeuvres inc. anchoring and man overboard recovery

•         Slow and high speed boat handling

Time:            0930 - 1600

Venue:          Wallasey Scout Boathouse

Cost:            £10.00 per person

Max. No.:       9 participants - COURSE FINISHED

General instructions to participants:

è    Scout uniform to be worn on arrival and departure – but not for boating activities

è    Waterproofs – jacket + trousers (coat needs to be able to fit under a lifejacket)

è    Hat and gloves if cold

è    Soft footwear to boat in (no boots or wellies)

è    Change of clothes, including footwear and a towel – just in case!

è    Packed lunch (hot drinks will be provided)

è    A completed parental consent form

è    All participants must fulfil the scout association swimming requirements for boating activities
